On Monday 20th August 2007, during a CAMRA East & Mid Surrey Branch social, Ken was presented with TWO CAMRA awards. The Surrey Oaks was voted CAMRA East & Mid Surrey Branch Pub of the Year 2007 and THEN CAMRA Surrey Pub of the Year 2007. This really means a lot for our pub. For more information click here.

Thank you to Keith Jackson for the photographs (because our Surrey Oaks photographer could not get his camera to work!).
We also had an award winning beer on sale, a Great British Beer Festival (GBBF) winner in Inveralmond's Lia Fail (Silver in Strong Bitter category). This was a dark(ish) beer with a 4.7% ABV. It had a really complex taste with lots of very interesting flavours coming through. If you didn't get to try this beer, don't despair, we always sell an ever-changing list. Do check out our Real Ales Page for the very latest information.
