On Monday 15th January 2007, The Surrey Oaks held its 4th annual 'Naff Christmas Presents Auction'. All proceeds went to charity with an amazing £316 being raised. Our two chosen charities this year were St. Catherines Hospice and Tadworth Children's Trust.
So what got auctioned?
Umm... Lets start with an 18 inch green china dragon! Then there was a battery powered soap dispenser and let's not forget the pink bag with the mystery present in it which got auctioned for £15!
Not everything was naff though, there was a fantastic aluminium yo-yo, a bottle of fine champagne and a full set of crockery (to mention but a few). As for the shower radio, no one brought one in to be auctioned!
This was certainly a great evening, but just remember, you can't re-auction anything next year, there's a £5 charge if you do!
