On Monday 22nd August 2005, during a CAMRA East & Mid Surrey Branch meeting, Ken was presented with TWO CAMRA awards. The Surrey Oaks was voted CAMRA East & Mid Surrey Branch Pub of the Year 2005 AND CAMRA Surrey Pub of the Year 2005. This is a great achievement for a great pub.
To celebrate the awards a fantastic mild was available.... Dark Star - Over the Moon (3.8% ABV).
Sally Gingell (right) presented the East & Mid Surrey award while John Norman (left) presented the Surrey award (Ken is in the middle and the photographer apologises for catching him off guard!).
Both certificates will be posted under the Awards section as soon as they've been scanned.
