OK, Ken is not actually eleven today (3rd Dec 04), but much more
importantly, Ken has been the Landlord of The Surrey Oaks for eleven years.
Ken inherited a pub which could never make the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, but
by sheer hard work and a love of real ale, things soon changed with The Surrey
Oaks receiving an entry in the Good Beer Guide for the last
ten years.
Today, The Surrey Oaks is a friendly pub serving good food and fantastic real
ale, facts that have not been missed by the following awards:
The Surrey Oaks has won many other awards, but there are too many to list
here. You'll just have to visit for yourself and while sampling some
fine real ale

have a look around for the awards on the walls of the middle
bar and the hugely impressive collection of pump clips adorning the main bar
beams and walls. Yes, The Surrey Oaks really has sold all these beers!
Keep an eye out for a couple of interesting pump clips, 'Old Spectacled Ken'
