On Tuesday 17th March 2009, The Surrey Oaks hosted another one of its very popular themed evenings. This time we celebrated St. Patrick's Day.
This proved to be a very popular evening with excellent food and event a couple of special real Irish beers (Pheonix - Shamrock 4.3% and Jarrow - McConnell's Irish Stout 4.6%).
We were even treated to some facts about St. Patrick, the most worrying of all was that he was not Irish after all (he was born in Wales!). This was followed by a typical Irish ballad, which seemed to keep everyone entertained.
