We hope you managed to get along to this great event. The turnout was large (as expected). Of the 31 beers advertised, there was one no show Stonehenge, Sign of Spring, (4.6%), but this was offset by the appearance of Wye Valley, Dorothy Goodbody Spring Time, (4.2%). There was one changed beer, Rebellion, Zebedee (4.7%) was replaced by Rebellion, Turbulance (4.4%). Although difficult to choose a favorite, four beers stood out from the rest, Cheriton Village Elder (3.8%), Enville, Nailmaker's Mild (4.0%), Dark Star, Meltdown (4.8%) and O'Hanlon's, Port Stout (4.8%). You may of course have had your own favorite!
Just for the record, so good was Dark Star, Meltdown (4.8%), that it sold out in less than 2 and a half hours!
The official List of Beers (excluding the changes above) can be seen by clicking the image below:
The Menu above is a fairly big download (to keep the Beer names clear), so you may want to try downloading the Adobe PDF version instead (click here).
If you've not got Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can download it here.
The weather was generally very good, the only blemish being Sunday afternoon (for 45 min's) when the heavens opened!
A few (clickable) pictures are included below which confirm just what a Great Family event this was.
If you missed this FANTASTIC EVENT, then do not dispair as you have another chance to experience Great Beer and Superb Entertainment at the August Bank Holiday Beer Festival
A Beer Festival takes a lot of organising and sometimes it's easy to overlook this. I think we all agree that Ken needs to be congratulated for organising this superb event.
Thank You Ken!
