IT'S A DOUB-ALE CELEBRATION!!! ...
To be awarded CAMRA Surrey Pub of the Year 2011 is just fantastic news.
We were already
CAMRA East & Mid Surrey Branch
Pub of the Year for 2011, but this one covers the whole of Surrey. What's even more
impressive is that this is the SEVENTH successive year
that we have received this accolade and to put it mildly we are absolutely chuffed to
bits! 
Huge thanks go to CAMRA who continue with their campaign year after year, fighting pub closures and defending the rights of responsible drinkers. It's difficult to believe, but a staggering 1,300 pubs shut their doors across Britain in 2010 with the loss of 13,000 jobs. CAMRA always needs new members, so if you've not already signed up, why not consider joining? There is actually a lot of fun involved, with things such as Ale Trails, Brewery Visits, Beer Festivals (many of which offer discounts to CAMRA members), plus socials and of course the now infamous monthly publication, What's Brewing? If you'd like to join CAMRA, you'll always find CAMRA membership forms in the bars at the Surrey Oaks.
At the Surrey Oaks, we believe in beer choice and we always sell an ever-changing range of real ales. Every firkin (72 pint barrel) is treated with care and when it's ready to be served, it's pulled through clean lines ensuring it reaches the Customer in the best possible condition and at the right temperature.
Our real ales are delivered at the beginning of each week and this list can always be found in the real ales section of our website (check our twitter feed for the latest information). It's also amazing to see just how many different real ales we have sold since mid April 2004 (the date when we started our beer database) to today, Saturday 2nd July 2011. The number is a staggering 1742 beers from 332 breweries and it will of course continue to grow! You can take a look at the very latest list here.
