We are already the CAMRA Surrey Pub of the Year 2006 and the East & Mid Surrey Branch Pub of the Year 2006, so things just got even better! This Regional award means that CAMRA believe that the best pub in Surrey and Sussex is The Surrey Oaks.
We are really pleased with this award as the last time we won a regional award was back in 2001 and before that in 1998. These CAMRA awards are not just about the real ale (which is of course the most important item), but they also cover such things as clientele mix, value for money, style/décor, etc... When a pub wins a CAMRA award, you can be pretty certain it's a great place to take anyone.

We hope that you will visit us for a pint of real ale which will not only be served perfectly, at the correct temperature, through clean lines, but you will also have a great choice of beer from small micro breweries and local breweries. Our current list of beers can be found in the Real Ales section. You should be aware that we have five hand pumps, so not everything you see in the list will be on at the same time! Just to give you an idea of the choice we provide, The Surrey Oaks sold an amazing 377 different real ales last year, something that very few pubs that you'll have the chance to visit, can match!
We also sell two real ciders (or a cider and a perry [perry is made from pears]) and being real, this means a natural product, not the artificial gassy stuff you'll find elsewhere.
It goes without saying that we would like to thank CAMRA (yet again) for this very prestigious award. You may not know this, but CAMRA are the most successful consumer group in Europe and if you're not already a member, why not sign up? There are lots of events to go along to, it's great fun and you even get a monthly newspaper. You'll always find membership forms in the middle bar of The Surrey Oaks.
