CAMRA Surrey Pub of the Year 2005

The Final Results for the CAMRA Surrey Pub of the Year 2005 have been announced and The Surrey Oaks has won! It's been four years since The Surrey Oaks last won this prestigious award and now The Surrey Oaks will be judged against the best pub from Sussex.

Think about that for a minute..... The Surrey Oaks has been voted the best CAMRA pub in Surrey.

Whilst more and more pubs are serving real ale these days, it's also true to say that very few of them serve the product correctly. Real Ale is a living product, it needs to be prepared and conditioned before it can be served. It must then be served at the correct temperature through clean lines.

If you want to taste a real ale that has been looked after properly, then there's only one place to come... The Surrey Oaks!

It's also nice to see different Real Ales, particularly from microbreweries, which is also something that The Surrey Oaks promotes. In one year, Mid April 2004 to Mid April 2005, The Surrey Oaks sold 388 different beers from 142 different breweries. Do check out our current Real Ales section for more details.

A big thank you goes to CAMRA for this award. If you are interested in joining CAMRA (it's a lot of fun), membership forms can be found in the middle bar of The Surrey Oaks.
